The Analysis of Impotence in Workers Exposed to Carbon Disulfide

Abstract
Carbon disulfide (CS2) is a colorless liquid that rapidly evaporate at room temperature and rapidly absorbed through the lung, less well through the skin. Carbon disulfide is primarily neurotoxic and has toxic effects on other multiple organ such
as
cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, ophalmologic and genitourinary systems.
The authors have experienced 22 cases of chronic carbon disulfide intoxication in workers complained of erection difficulty during the period between January 1989 and August 1989. Of the 22 patients 2 patient has suggestive impotence. The one has
vasculogenic, the other neurogenic impotence. In order to prove any relationships between carbon disulfide intoxication and impotence, further observation is required.
